What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. Cookies allow the site to remember something about your visit — a session, a preference, an analytics measurement — so the experience is continuous and, in some cases, can be improved over time.

Some cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function. Others — analytics, marketing, preferences — are set only with your consent. You give that consent through the banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your mind at any time using the controls below.

Categories of cookies we use

Essential cookies Always on

Required for the website to work. Typical purposes include keeping track of your session, remembering your consent choices, and securing the contact form against automated misuse. These cookies cannot be switched off.

Typical duration — session, up to 12 months for the consent record.

Analytics cookies Optional

Help us understand how visitors find and move through the site — which pages are read, where readers come from, how long they stay. We use this in aggregate, to make small editorial decisions. No attempt is made to identify you personally.

Typical duration — 24 months.

Marketing cookies Optional

Allow us to measure the effectiveness of any campaigns we run — for instance, whether a visitor came from a published article or a professional directory. We use very little of this. It is here as a category in case our practice ever advertises in earnest.

Typical duration — 12 months.

Preference cookies Optional

Remember small choices you have made on the site — for instance the contact section to which you last scrolled. They make return visits a little less repetitive and have no other purpose.

Typical duration — 12 months.

Third-party services

Where you have given consent, this site may set cookies operated by the following third parties:

Each of these services operates under its own privacy and cookie terms, and you should review those before accepting analytics or marketing cookies if you have concerns.

Your rights

You have the right to withdraw consent for analytics, marketing and preference cookies at any time, using the controls above. Blocking optional cookies will not stop the website from working, but some elements — particularly the embedded map — may not render until you accept the relevant category.

For broader questions about personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy, or write to [email protected].
