Lucerne · Established advisory · By appointment

A composed perspective on the questions that sit on a leader's desk.

Bridgewell is a small advisory practice in Lucerne. We produce written work for executives and boards weighing operational choices — staffing concentration, customer dependency, the pacing of a difficult decision. The output is a brief, a memo, or quiet companionship through a transition. Nothing more, and nothing dressed up to look like more.

— Engagements —

Three ways of working together

Each plaque below describes a distinct shape of engagement. Pricing and cadence are stated plainly. The right starting point depends on the question in front of you — and we are happy to talk that through before anything is agreed.

A quiet desk with papers and a fountain pen

— Engagement 01 —

Executive Brief Series

A subscription engagement in which we prepare a single-page brief for the executive sponsor every two weeks. Topics rotate across the operating questions in front of the business — chosen with the sponsor at the start of each quarter. Written for the reader, not for the team.

  • One-page brief every fortnight
  • Quarterly topic planning with the sponsor
  • Outside perspective in compact form

— Engagement 02 —

Stakeholder Alignment Memo

A short engagement in which we interview a defined set of stakeholders around a question the company is preparing to decide, and return an anonymised memo summarising where positions converge and where they differ. Intended as input to a meeting — not as a recommendation.

  • Six to ten confidential interviews
  • Anonymised written summary
  • Delivered ahead of the decision meeting

— Engagement 03 —

New Hire Onboarding Companion

A six-week engagement supporting a newly-joined senior leader through their first weeks — sitting in on selected meetings as a quiet observer, debriefing privately, and producing short written reflections at the end of each week. Confidential to the leader.

  • Six-week structured cadence
  • Quiet observation, private debriefs
  • End-of-week written reflections

— What working with us is like —

Considered, written, kept small

Written work

Everything we deliver exists on paper. A brief you can re-read, mark up, and refer back to weeks later.

Confidentiality

Our work belongs to the sponsor. Stakeholder views are anonymised. Nothing leaves the engagement.

No prescription

We frame the question, surface what we hear, and step back. The decision remains with you, and that is by design.

Held cadence

Briefs arrive on the day they are agreed to. Debriefs happen at the time set. A small thing that matters.

— Questions we often hear —

A few things worth knowing first

How is the first conversation arranged? +
A first conversation is by appointment, generally thirty to forty-five minutes, with no charge and no expectation of an engagement at the end. It is a chance for both sides to decide whether the question in front of you fits the kind of work we do.
What kinds of questions do you usually take on? +
Operational questions facing the leadership of a small or mid-sized business — concentration of revenue in a few accounts, the pacing of a hiring decision, friction around a structural change. Not regulated activities, not legal or tax advice, and not turnaround consulting.
How long does a typical engagement run? +
The Stakeholder Alignment Memo is usually two to three weeks from start to delivery. The Onboarding Companion is six weeks by design. The Executive Brief Series renews quarterly and many sponsors stay with it longer than that.
Is the relationship with one person or the company? +
It depends on the engagement. The Onboarding Companion is confidential to the leader. The Stakeholder Alignment Memo is normally commissioned by the executive sponsor on behalf of a leadership team. We are explicit about this at the start of each piece of work.
Are prices listed final? +
The prices shown are starting figures in Swiss francs for the engagement as described. Scope sometimes extends — more interviews, an additional session — and any change is agreed in writing before it begins. There are no retainer fees outside the listed work.
How is information kept? +
Working notes are kept in Switzerland on encrypted storage. Stakeholder interviews are not recorded. Identifying detail is removed from anything written. Files are returned or destroyed at the close of an engagement on request.

— A small invitation —

If a question has been sitting on your desk too long, we are happy to talk it through.

No obligation in either direction. A first conversation usually settles whether the work we do fits what you are weighing.
